News & Announcements
Greetings from the Maryland Department of Agriculture – Pesticide Regulation Section
We have several important updates to share with you:
License Renewals
All Commercial and Public Agency licenses have now EXPIRED. Renewal reminders were distributed on Wednesday, August 20. Please ensure that you hold a valid license showing an expiration date of June 30, 2026, to avoid the risk of working without a license.

Database Upgrade
The Pesticide Regulation Section is undergoing a complete overhaul of our licensing database. The new system is scheduled to go live on September 11, 2025. During the transition, there will be a brief downtime of approximately four days when we will be limited to what we can process until the data migration is completed.
While we expect the upgrade to be as seamless as possible, there may be a learning curve as we all adjust to the new system. We ask for your patience as we work diligently to minimize disruptions.
Once implemented, the new system will provide enhanced features, allowing license holders to complete all transactions online—including submitting applications, paperwork, and payments. Please note that the online renewal system will remain fully operational during this transition, so you will still be able to renew licenses and download copies as needed.

Our general email box (pest.reg@maryland.gov) will remain active throughout this transition.
We appreciate your cooperation and patience during this important upgrade and look forward to providing you with a more efficient and user-friendly system in the near future.
