Maryland State Pest Control Association to Host 2021 Virtual Western Maryland Recertification Training

This virtual program includes excellent speakers as well as a Maryland update

 

(Annapolis, MD) — The Maryland State Pest Control Association (MSPCA) will hold its annual Western Maryland Recertification Training Program on October 28, 2021. This highly anticipated virtual program will include presentations from industry speakers specializing in rodent control, wood-destroying insects, public health, and more.

Attendees are eligible for credits in these states:

Entomologist Brittany Campbell, Ph.D., Director of Technical Services at the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), will report on the latest research on cockroach behavior and strategies to take your cockroach program to the next level.

Harry Bryan, Area Manager for Nisus Corporation, will cover the main wood-boring beetle species encountered by pest management professionals and solutions to control active infestations. Over the past 25 years, Bryan has presented more than 1,000 seminars in 45 states.

Richard Kramer, Ph.D. of Kramer Consultants will focus his session on the latest developments in mosquito and tick-borne diseases in the region. Kramer brings over 30 years of experience in pest management.

Tisha Shellenberger of Bell Laboratories will discuss the latest advancement in rodent control technology.

The training concludes with the Maryland Regulatory Update, presented by Kelly M. Love of the Maryland Department of Agriculture's Pesticide Regulation Section. Love will share essential regulation changes and information on the Maryland 2021 USDA Pesticide Use Survey.
